Pomelo is unique in Myanmar. This colourful, non-profit craft shop opened just two years ago in Yangon and now supports the livelihoods of 30 disadvantaged groups of artisans, who create our hand-made products.
In just two years Pomelo has become a thriving platform for local, talented people to expand their creative skills, increase their productivity and earn a sustainable living.
Volunteers work hand-in-hand with Myanmar craft workers from a range of disadvantaged groups, helping to improve the quality of design and their appeal to international customers.
Pomelo had to move unexpectedly to a new space in February 2014, after a fruitful relationship at our previous location.
