Fidel Rodríguez Said,
THE STORY-TELLER
While the children were bored with their aunt’s story, they liked the bachelor’s story because it was more interesting. In his story there was more adventure, action, there were many animals (birds on trees, lots of little pigs and one wolf) and the place was beautiful because it was in a garden in a palace.
Ana Rodríguez Said,
SREDNI VASHTAR
Conradin was a child that was 10 years old, he was weak and was forbidden to do a lot of things, however Conradin had a great imagination. He hated his aunt.
María Vivas García Said,
TOBERMORY
I think that the moral is that human beings can be very despicable if their customs are altered or their secrets are revealed, so that may mean that human beings are hypocrites.
Lucia Fernandez Solis Said,
TOBERMORY
I think that the moral is that human beings want to have many friends and they want to be respected, so when their secrets are told they are ashamed, because human beings sometimes speak badly about their friends.
Laura Said,
SREDNI VASHTAR
I’m going to describe Conradin’s aunt.
I think she is a woman who is in her fifties, because she seems to be an old woman when she prohibits many things to her nephew, like playing on the garden, eating fruit… I also think that she is strict and lonely, because she never spends time with Conradin and sometimes, the boy says she is unkind with him, and she forces her nephew to use his imagination to play and enjoy himself, so I think she never gives anything to him, so she is also a bit mean. And she could also be aggressive because, when she discovers the chicken, she kills it.
Cristina del Busto Said,
SREDNI VASHTAR
Conradin was a ten-year-old child who is often ill. He lived with his aunt, because his parents died. He was forbidden to do some things, so he hates his aunt. He also had a lot of imagination and he plays in a shed with a chicken and a ferret. He imagines ghosts, animals, etc. and he usually speaks with Sredni Vashtar. Sredni Vashtar was a god for him.

THE STORY-TELLER
The children liked the bachelor’s story better than their aunt’s story because the bachelor tells the story just like the children want: first he listens to the children and discovers their likes and their curiosities; later he asks questions to the children while he is telling the story just like the children want to hear it and this way they hear the story from beginning to end.
Sonia Said,
SREDNI VASHTAR
Conradin was ten, and he was often ill. The doctor sayd that he was going to die.
The boy had a big imagination. One day, the child discovered a shed which was abandoned. He went there every day. The boy had a ferret and a chicken in the shed; the ferret was called Sredni Vashtar, and it was the true god for him. Every Thursday, he took presents to his pet. After a time, the aunt noticed Conradin’s visits to the shed. The aunt didn’t like it, and killed the chicken. The boy often said: “Do one thing for me, Sredni Vashtar”. One day, the aunt prohibited the child to enter the shed; she entered and minutes later, the child saw the ferret go out of the shed with red spots in the mouth and in the neck; later, the house keeper entered the shed and went out running, saying: “Who will say it to the poor child?”
THE STORY-TELLER
It was a hot afternoon, there was a woman with two children; they were asking questions to their aunt, and she told them stories so that they stopped talking. She was very bad at telling stories, and a man that was next to her, told them a story about a girl who was very good, she had three medals which she always carried with her; one day, the king of the country invited the girl to live in a palace, and she accepted; one day, the girl went to the garden, and saw a wolf running behind her, so she ran to her house. The woman was angry with the man, because this story was improper for the children. Then the man thought that the children were going to ask her what the meaning of “improper” was.
Natalia Bande Said,
SREDNI VASHTAR
Conradin is the kid of the story. He was 10 years old and he was often ill. The doctors said that he wasn’t a strong boy.
Conradin’s parents were dead and he lived with his aunt. Conradin hated her because she was always unkind to him but the the children obeyed her. Her aunt was an old woman, she never let him enjoy himself. The imagination was the only thing that kept him alive. In his own world he was happy.
His boring life changed when he found a ferret. Conradin gave him a name: Sredni Vashtar, and the ferret became his best friend.
