Introduction
Farming practices including pest control are the major source and direct input of pesticide residues in soils. Therefore, agricultural soils are considered as an important source of organic compounds and pesticides in the environments. Recent studies have shown that dust from agricultural fields caused atmospheric pollution with organic compounds and pesticide residues (Gromova 1989; Aleksandrova et al. 1986). The maximum concentration of respirable-dust caused by agricultural practices was estimated to be 10.3 mg/m3 air from soil operation in dry surface soil and was 0.3 mg/ m3 from soil surface during wet season. The study also indicated that about 64% of land operation takes place in dry and hot season which can produce 83% of the annual respirable-dust in farming lands (Clausnitzer and Singer 1996).
