different values and goals and ambitions. My school of thought is that there is no point to all the work that I do if it does not enable me to enjoy the company of family and friends. That puts the people around me – my family and friends – at the very top of my priorities. I have given up opportunities, income, and personal comfort for family and friends. I know that I will do it again and again.
After all, at the end of the day, in good or bad weather, all I have to fall back on are my family and my friends. They are the constants in my life. When I am gone, I’d love to have it said, “Here lies the body of a man who truly cared for his family and for his friends.”
