I said to you before it is spring here so all the birds are nesting
In Tasmania we have a bird called a Plover - it is a very protective bird and will attack anyone and anything (even a dog) when the Plovers have young chicks - I have some nesting in my side garden so when I go out there I have to keep my eyes open and be careful otherwise they will swoop down making lots of squawking noises and may hit me with its spurs. I have attached a photo of the Plover and you can see the spur at the front of its wing. It takes the chicks about 6 weeks to grow into flight mode and once they start flying the plovers will not bother you or even come near you.
