Researchers (e.g., Droge et al., 2008) argue
that for example innovating firms with unique knowledge,
capabilities and superior products/services should
record high performance. Likewise, it is here proposed that
exploratory projects, drawing on new ideas and developing
new products, processes and so forth, will contribute
to strong project performance. The following hypothesis is
proposed:
H1b. There is a positive effect of innovativeness on project
performance in exploratory innovations.
