The QTL on SSC1, SSC5 and SSC7 were genome-wide significant
(P < 0.01), and each had a positive additive effect
and a negative dominance effect, indicating that the LW
allele increased erectness of ears, with the MS allele for flop
ears being dominant. This is in line with the observation
that F1 animals tend to have flop ears (data not shown).
