KOREA FAVOURITES FOR MISSION HILLS WORLD LADIES CHAMPIONSHIP
2014/02/25February 22, 2014: World No. 1 Park In-bee and No. 5 Ryu So-yeon will partner up in a bid to help Korea defend their team title in next month’s Mission Hills World Ladies Championship in Hainan, China. The Ladies European Tour event, co-sanctioned by the China LPGA Tour, will be held for the first time over the long Blackstone course at the 180-hole Mission Hills Haikou, from March 6-9. The World Ladies Championship is unique in professional golf in that it consists of three events in one – an individual professional competition, a professional team championship in which countries are represented by teams of two, and an individual amateur tournament, all played simultaneously over 72 holes of strokeplay. The Blackstone course, opened in 2010, has hosted the Mission Hills World Celebrity Pro Am, the 2011 World Cup of Golf and The Match at Mission Hills between Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy last October. However, it’s the ladies who will take centre stage this time. Park and Ryu are among four of the world’s top six confirmed for Hainan. Park, 25, finished runner-up to Pettersen in the individual section last year, but teamed up with Kim Ha-neul to win the team trophy. World No. 2 Suzann Pettersen will again represent Norway with Marianne Skarpnord, while No. 6 Feng Shanshan and teenage LPGA rookie Lin Xiyu will represent hosts China 1. Ariya Jutanugarn and Nontaya Srisawang will represent Thailand, while Beth Allen and Amelia Lewis will team up for USA. Source: LETMessage 已有 0 位网友留言 查看大家都说了啥?
