I am sending you attached the incident report related to major power outage that did affect us between 6 and 9 of February.
As Pierre briefly shared with you, we have been able to keep the situation under control (with instrumental support of K. Aran and his team) and we have minimized negative effects on guests experience.
Very small number of complaints were recorded and all have been handled as needed.
Today’s situation is as follows:
ACP is powered from the main grid through ARP transformer (bypass). Several sets of rented cables have been laid to connect both ARP and ACP transformers.
Should main grid power supply stop, we will go on generator as normal. We spent 72k on diesel during the incident.
The entire hotel operates normally under this provisory setup. It is safe but normal setup will have to be restored soonest possible a cables are yet outside in the open air.
To do so, we will need to replace the damaged underground cables by a new set of cables to reconnect ACP transformer to the main grid. This will cost up to 1.1M baht (to be approved).
Once this is done, the existing damaged cables will be removed, inspected, fixed and re-installed as secondary parallel back-up cable (cost unknown yet as we haven’t seen the cables).
All above will be processed once new cables PO is approved. The company handling the work is ITE sub-contractor. This should be done soonest possible.
We will aside of that approach our insurance company and see what can be claimed.
Please let us know if anything else is needed.
Brgds
