and employees with relevant skills are aware that they easily can find an attractive
job in an active job market where their skills are highly valued. Problems in HR
could mean thatorganizationsloose these valuable employees. A relatedHR problem
concerns organizational design. Some firms find that the changes resulting from ebanking can only be best managed by a new organizational design. Some choose to
create a separate “online unit” division that handles the e-banking operations. This
separate entity usually is expected to be integrated onto the rest of the operation
after time. These separate entities often have a more entrepreneurial culture which
is suitable for online business operations so they are better able than their parent
companies to attract the type of talent needed (Mitchell, 2001).
