Meeting and greeting
Americans really love to greet each other even if one does not know each other. When you walk pass the stranger, it is ok to say hi or hello and you can expect to receive the greeting back with a smiley face.
American people would greet each other by saying something that are not formal, such as "Hi", "How are you?", and "What's up", “How’re you doing?”.
. When Americans first met each other, men greet each other by shaking hands and maintain straight eye contact. Sometimes they do a little hug . Same as greeting woman, men will do the same way like they do to other men.
Uk.- A handshake is the most common form of greeting among the British people and is customary when you are introduced to somebody new.
The British might seem a little stiff and formal at first.
It is only when you meet friends, whom you haven't seen for a long time, that you would kiss the cheek of the opposite sex. In Britain one kiss is generally enough.
Thailand- Thai’s would greet by using the traditional way of bowing their head and “wai” to greet and show respect.
The person who is junior in age or status is the first one to offer the wai.
Americans are accustomed to greeting by hugging and sometimes a kiss on both cheeks when greeting woman. If a Thai was to hug or kiss another woman on the cheek in public, it would be considered as inappropriate even if the person is their wife.
