Difference between Platonic and Aris.totalian Philosophy
In spite of the deep influence of Plato on Aristotle it is crystal clear that both belonged to different schools of thought. Plato was idealist whereas Aristotle was realist. In his writings, if the former was arist,
the latter scientist. Plato was poetic and imaginative in expression whereas Aristotle was analytical, Plato based his philosophy on ‘what ought to be’ whereas Aristotle based his philosophy on what was attainable

and practicable and practicable. Plato made politics dependent on ethics whereas Aristotle gave it the status of an independent science quite separate from ethics.
