Quiche
Ingredients
cup flour 1 Cup
Salt ¼ tsp
Butter 3 tbl
Crisco Shortening 2 tbl
Cold Water 3-4 tbl
Eggs, beaten 4
Milk 2 Cup
Cornstarch (or flour) 1 &¼ Cup
Salt ½ tsp
Pepper ¼ tsp
diced Ham 1 Cup
steamed broccoli 1 Cup
Cheddar Cheese 2 Cup
Directions
1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees.
2. To make the crust, mix together 1 cup of flour and ¼ teaspoon of salt. Cut in the butter and shortening. Mix in the cold water. Form into a ball, cover, and set aside to rest.
3. Take 1 cup of milk and blend together with the cornstarch, until there are no lumps. In a bowl, beat the eggs with the remaining cup of milk, salt, and pepper. Stir in the milk and cornstarch mixture.
4. Roll out pie crust and place into a round pie dish. Place ham cubes, broccoli, and cheese into the crust. Pour the milk and egg mixture over the other ingredients in the pan.
5. Bake for 50 minutes, until a knife can be inserted and come out clean.
