Kilmer’s kitchen isn’t very large, but the food is good. Kilmer Fagley does the cooking and this menu includes a lot of New Orleans French favorite. When I was there, had gumbo. This tasty mixture of ham and fish is cooked in a heavy pot. I thought it was delicious. For desert I had an apple-surprise, a mixture of cook apple and dough. It was too sweet for me, but you might like it if you have a taste for sweet. Kilmer has different kinds of coffee, and my espresso was a perfect end to a good dinner. Kilmer’s Kitchen, at 798 Boutbon Street, opens for dinner every evening from 5:30 to 11:00, Tuesday through Sunday. The restaurant gets very busy, so be sure to make a reservation before you go
