Early the next morning, Sri telephoned Charn and asked that he drive to Bangkok to meet him, Ken and
Ken’s father in AtT office. Charn agreed to make the short trip to Bangkok. Ken presided over the meeting
that afternoon among the four men. Ken reported that he had devised a plan for resolving the situation
without any legal action being taken against Charn. Because Charn was obviously “crooked and
dishonest,” Ken suggested that Sri be allowed to withdraw immediately from the JV. Ken’s plan called for
Charn to return Sri’s initial cash investment in the partnership and to pay Sri interest on his investment
for the prior three years. When Charn as Sri if that was what he wanted, Sri, who had yet to speak during
the meeting, nodded affirmatively.
