Seeds in all treatments started to germinate between three
and four weeks after sowing (data not shown). At seven weeks
after sowing, seed germination percentages varied among treatments
(Fig. 2A). Seeds sown on peat moss inoculated with fungal
isolate Da-KP-0-1 resulted in the highest germination percentage
(67.6%), followed by seeds sown on coir dust inoculated with the
same fungus (59.1%). Symbiotic seed germination promoted by
isolate Da-KP-0-1 was affected by germination substrates since
seeds sown on soil in the presence of the same fungus showed significantly
lower percentage of germination (37.8%). On the other
hand, fungal isolate Ps-KT-0-1 in all of the studied substrates
resulted in equal seed germination percentages (50.5–53.3%). All
