In session 2,
i.e., during the intervention, the participants in the experimental
group had significantly higher finger temperatures
than did the participants in the control group (F = 25Æ34,
P < 0Æ001). In session 3, the lasting effects on finger
temperatures were also significantly higher for the participants
in the experimental group than for those in the control
group (F = 9Æ67, P = 0Æ002). In the experimental group, a
statistically significant increase was observed in the finger
temperature while participants in the control group did not
change significantly (F = 0Æ25, P = 0Æ782). The above results
supported hypothesis 2.
