In 1992, the International Conference on Nutrition
(ICN) was convened by the Food and Agriculture
Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the
World Health Organization (WHO). The preparatory
process for the ICN began with meetings at the
national and regional levels. In advance of the ICN,
many nations prepared country papers which gave an
overview of their national situation. Summaries of the
regional meetings are also available as well as reports
of case studies which were commissioned for the
ICN.
