A state space averaging method has been prevalent to analyze
inverters based on circuit analysis and linear system theories [2].
Derivation of the state space equations set for each topology is
the first primary step. This is followed by introducing small perturbation
terms in the state equations. State equations are then averaged
over the intervals of on and off times, and transformed into
transfer functions. These resultant transfer functions represent a
model for continuous and time-invariant systems. A discrete iterative
time method is more complex but accurate than the state
space averaging method [3]. Graphical techniques are Bond Graph
Theory [4], Bond Graph formalism [5] and signal flow graph [6].
