Hydrogen permeation measurements were performed
using Pd membranes of different thicknesses (1.0 and 3.3 mm,
depending on the number of electroless plating cycles), supported
on hollow fibre substrates of the same morphology but
sintered at different temperatures (1300 and 1400 C).
As a result, corresponding composite membranes are nominated
in this study as Pd-1.0/HF-1300, Pd-3.3/HF-1300, Pd-1.0/HF-
1400 and Pd-3.3/HF-1400.
Hydrogen permeation flux was measured at different temperatures (300e450 C) and transmembrane
pressures (40e165 kPa).
During the course of measurement, a heating rate of 3 C/min was used, and the
membrane integrity was re-evaluated at 450 C and 165 KPa
using Ar, after each measurement.
