Hello Ice
Further to your last mail. I attach dwgs and photos of the sala
You are right, for some reason no timber (seat) was shown under the cushions – this surprised me having built this sala multiple times I must say but you are right, there is nothing showing on the drawings. That said, you can’t seriously be expecting to deliver this as it now is and/or believe this whole area is anything like acceptable and/or ready to accept a very expensive refrigerated unit as planned surely?
What I see here in this sala is poor workmanship that is out of sequence. Clearly someone forgot to do sand wash but didn’t remove any decking or leave a gap when they finally got around to it (last photo). The seat edge detail with the lighting hasn’t been done yet and I will not accept the base as it is, with half of it painted and the rest just raw cement with paint sloshed all over it. I have previously commented on photos sent to me which solicited your comments, unfortunately for you, these lead me to check my drawings again and things are wrong and need fixing according to them. Quite honestly you may have made more work for yourself than would have been the case if you’d just clad the seats in timber but…….
On the subject of the plinth being visible, whilst again, you are right and the timber doesn’t in fact cover this entirely, you WILL see (in the drawings) that the decking is edged with the typical deck edge profile which hasn’t been done so you can take up the boards and fix it as design, addressing the poor workmanship in the bar/ plinth at the same time.
Don’t fight me on this dear, I’m out a lot of money personally due to this being late, you’ve been paid for absolutely everything and I’m in no mood for a point scoring contest ok? Please, just concentrate on delivering a well executed building as that is what has been paid for eh?
Thank you
G
