Content validity
Validity, defined as the degree to which evidence and theory support the interpretations of
test scores for the uses proposed by the authors (Payne, 2003), requires accumulation of
evidence over time by test authors and users, and as such, is a gradual process. Evidence of
content validity, i.e., evidence that the test captures the intended content, is provided for the
ARIK-A because of the careful match of item content to the population of knowledge content
using a test blueprint and based on the careful expert review process
