Though it did not impact the emission of fluoride, the defect
formation in the synthesized 1.0 wt% MEA did increase the OCV
decay rate that, until 350 h, had been similar to the commercial
1.0 wt%. The values measured and given in Table 3,w0.1 mV h1, are
in line with literature data [6]. In Fig. 9, the sudden decrease in
potential after the pinhole formation can be seen, which correlates
well with the rapid increase in hydrogen crossover observed in the
daily LSV measurements.
