The main finding of our study was a similar enlargement
of writing in PD patients and healthy control subjects when
performed without visual feedback. Although deviant from
previous observations in PD, our findings added insight
in general neuronal mechanisms underlying the balance
between feed-forward and feedback in visuo motor control.
With feedback, the only significant indicator of micrographia
in PD was a correlation between smaller writing and a higher
MDS-UPDRS (part III) score.
