In this study, the fruiting bodies of Cordyceps militaris were
extracted with methanol under reflux. The water suspended
methanol extract was successively partitioned with n-hexane,
chloroform and n-butanol to get the non-polar,medium polar
and high polar fractions, respectively. The chloroform soluble
fraction was subjected to repeated column chromatography to give
compounds 1–6. The n-butanol extract was chromatographed by
conventional isolation procedures to afford compounds 7–10.
