There is ample evidence of the positive outcomesofearlyintensivebehaviouralinterventions for young children with Autism. There is however, little in the way of research on what it takes, outside of funded research projects to: a) provide the quality of services needed and b) scale up the services to match the level of intensity(ie. 25 or more hours per week) to meet best practice standards as defined in the empirical literature.
