Screening of indole-3-acetic acid (IAA) producing yeast
IAA production was determined for a total of 1035 yeast isolates in tube cultivation. Colorimetric assay of IAA revealed
that 167 isolates were IAA producers, whereas 868 isolates
were non-IAA producers. It is possible to classify as low
(12.5 mg gÀ1 DCW) IAAproducing yeast by the numbers of 154 and 13 isolates,
respectively.
