The analysis of the boiler losses highlighted that the exhaust
latent thermal loss and the exhaust sensible thermal loss account
for 9% and 16% of the boiler input power, respectively. A further
exploitation of both sensible and latent exhaust heat shares could
considerably improve the efficiency of the boiler. However, this
measure should be integrated with a reduction of the DH network
temperature that would enable a higher heat recovery at lower
temperature.
