Wooldridge reports that in the first two years of the program,
the incontinence prevalence, as indicated by the residents
triggering the incontinence resident assessment protocol,
decreased a total of 29.7%. The success rate varies from one
facility to another, with some having significant success and
others having no decrease in incontinence prevalence. The
best results occur in nursing homes with administrators and
directors of nursing who strongly support the program.
