"But remember, before you reprimand someone, make sure you have the facts
and see that there are no extenuating circumstances. Sometimes a decline in
performance is caused by a drop in confidence - the job is more complicated
than anticipated. When that happens, you don't reprimand; you provide support
and encouragement, and if necessary, direction.
