Penguins are birds but penguins cannot fly. They don't have wings, they have flippers. Fish is their food, so they spend most of their time in the water hunting fish. Penguins lay eggs and raise their baby little penguins on land. There are many kinds of penguins. The largest one is the Emperor penguin. It can grow to be about 4 feet tall and weigh about 100 pounds. Other well known penguins are the King penguin, the Macaroni penguin and the Adelie penguin.
