Deterministic governance
In searching the literature,we easily flound authors who haveapplied organization theories to governance questions. Many of these authors employ theorizing that lies primarily in what Williamson(1975) termed new institutional economics.Richter(2005) and Karna(2009) note that these more deterministic-range theories include, amongothers, transactioncosts, publicchoice, new institutional economics of history, and new institutionalism of political science and sociology.Karma(2009:15) observes that this family of theories can simultaneously fit both the micro and macro levels of analysis, but is clearly ‘in the deterministic category on orientation dimension.’
