Cr3C2/epoxy composite materials as shown in Fig. 1b were prepared
by epoxy infiltration method. Fig. 4 is the microstructure of the Cr3C2/
epoxy composite materials. Most pores have been filled by epoxy,
while a small part of pores are still present (shown by arrow in Fig. 4).
Compared to the microstructure of surface to that of the cross section,
the ratio of un-filled pores inside is higher than that on the surface.
There might be two reasons considered. The first is that the transmission
of epoxy to the center of the porous Cr3C2 disc is more difficult
