Reports of elongation at break
values of pure cassava, potato, waxy corn, maize corn and rice
starch films (4.60%, 5.29%, 2.28%, 4.23% and 1.37%, respectively) are
very low in contrast with synthetic
stretchable films made from high density polyethylene
(HDPE) or low density polyethylene (LDPE) (300% and 500%,
respectively.
