Ted Gayer is an associate professor at Georgetown University's Public policy institute, He is also a visiting fellow at the Public Policy Institute of California and and adjunct scholar at the American Enterprise institute. He has published research in environmental economics, regulation, health economics, and education policy, He was the recipient of an Alfred P.Sloan Doctoral Dissertation Fellowship, and from 1999 to 2001 he was a Robert Wood Johnson Scholar in Health Policy Research at the University of California, Berkeley, From 2003 to 2004 , Professor Gayer served as a Senior Economist on the President's Council of Economic Advisers, where he worked primarily on environmental and regulatory policy.He is curently a member of the Environmental Protection Agency's Science Advisory Board.
