Give the team access to customers
■ Talking to the actual customers gives the team a much better
understanding of the purpose and what they are trying to
accomplish
■ The project as a whole becomes more meaningful and they see
how their work is going to impact real people
○ Let the team makes its own commitments
■ At the beginning of every iteration teams should negotiate with
customers to understand their priorities and select work for the
iteration
■ The team should make decisions regarding how much work they
will be able to accomplish
■ Team members understanding that when they commit to a set of
features they are making a commitment to each other
