By the impact of the above mentioned price decreases, the new export deals of Japanese ferrous scrap is still hard to be concluded. And there is no news about the new contract information for Taiwan. Recently Japanese suppliers offered at US$ 228/MT C&F for No.2 HMS, which is likely to be equivalent to the slightly above level of the latest contract price for South Korea at Y 20,50/MT FOB. But the price of No. 2 HMS has the sense of expensive compared to the above-mentioned price for containerized ferrous scrap. There is no reaction from Taiwanese mills yet and there is the low possibility for concluding the contract. The new deals of Japanese ferrous scrap for Taiwan increases the sluggishness.
