The results show that, except for two wells, the fluids are oversaturated with respect to calcite, indicating that
calcite precipitation is likely to occur at reservoir conditions (Fig. 3). Calcite oversaturation is also identified in the pipe of the injection wells. Therefore, it is also possible that calcite is precipitating around the well in the formation where the reservoir is recharged. According to the numerical simulation of the reinjection process, calcite starts precipitating when the temperature reaches about 70 °C.
