In order to evaluate the analytical applicability and reliability of
the developed method, it was used for the determination of
cloxacillin sodium in real samples, such as tap water, ground water
and commercial pharmaceutical preparation. The samples were in Section ‘Pre-treatment of real water samples before CL analysis’.
The concentrations of cloxacillin sodium in spiked water samples
and commercial pharmaceutical preparation were obtained using
a standard addition method, and the results were shown in Tables
4 and 5, respectively. Recovery tests were also performed to evaluate
the accuracy of this method. As summarized in Tables 4 and 5,
the recoveries ranged from 96% to 102.54%, indicating that the
developed method is simple, sensitive and affords good precision
and accuracy when applied to the determination of cloxacillin
sodium in real samples.
