source in the overall planned electricity generation, is
presented in Fig. 3. More than a half of electricity in each
year will be generated from natural gas, thereby allowing it
to retain leading role during the planning horizon. Coal
occupies the second largest share registering an increase
from 15.65% in 2011 to 24.58% in 2025. It is also observed
that during the middle of the planning horizon, the share of
natural gas is considerably decreasing due to the addition
of 14 700 MW coal fired power plants. However, as the
number of coal fired candidates is limited, the share of
natural gas will resume increasing after 2019 until it reaches
68.90% in 2025.
