Managerial implications
This study provides some noteworthy implications for managers and policymakers.
To engender successful SCM practices, firms should adhere to specific processes
that ensure rigor and thoroughness in corporate entrepreneurship behavior, such
as innovativeness and proactiveness. Corporate entrepreneurship embedded in
innovativeness and proactiveness offers a valuable resource on which manufacturers
can utilize to conduct complicated supply chain activities, achieve competitive
edge, and position themselves better during the pursuit of ongoing realignment in
competitive global markets. Moreover, traditional resource-based explanations of SCM
decisions by western manufacturing firms do not always apply to ASEAN automotive
suppliers; at the very least, incorporating corporate entrepreneurship explanations
may strengthen traditional organizational theory
