This is one of the most popular white wine types. These wines have a medium body with peach and apricot notes. Chardonnays were traditionally aged in oak barrels which gave them a buttery and oaky taste making them more complex. However, nowadays, some chardonnay wines are usually aged in stainless steel barrels. When the wine is aged this way, it becomes citrusy and light, letting all the flavors come through on the palate.
