Our vision is to provide a safe environment in which our people can pursue their varied activities to secure AIA’s future as the pre-eminent life insurance provider in the Asia Pacific region. Therefore, AIA is very committed to conducting business in a manner that protects the health, safety and security of AIA employees, our agents and our customers especially while they are on AIA premises:
• Avoiding security breaches, threats, losses and theft requires a dedicated team effort and all employees are asked to remain vigilant in the workplace and while carrying out their duties.
• Our Employee Engagement Survey is conducted annually to collect employees’ feedback about ways to make AIA a better place to work.
• AIA also adheres to a policy of maintaining a workplace free of violence, threats of violence, or intimidation of others. Any person who exhibits threatening behaviour, threatens or actually commits a violent act on Company property (or while conducting Company business) or carries a concealed weapon, will be removed from the worksite. They may also be asked to remain away from the worksite pending the outcome of an investigation into the incident.
• Employees or advisors who have obtained restraining court orders that cover AIA workplaces are asked to notify the Human Resources and/or security personnel, so that AIA can manage any related risk situations proactively.
• Employees are reminded to report promptly any situation that may pose a health, safety, security or environmental hazard.
