Significant reductions in the zearalenone concentration of corn were found after gamma irradiation at 10 or 20 kGy, with no significant interaction between radiation dose and grain moisture level (Hooshmand & Klopfenstein, 1995).
At 9 kGy, neither mycotoxin growth nor toxin production could be detected in corn or rice inoculated with F. graminearum or F. tricinctum (Halasz et al., 1989).
