In general, the use of the m-learning system for professional development purposes was found to provide independence of time and place to academics. It was seen that the system was portable, personal, accessible, useful, affordable, appealing, adaptable, practical, appropriate to purpose and easy to use. As the findings of the present study are in line with those of another study carried out by Sharples in 2000 that mentioned technology needs supporting life-long contextual
learning, this m-learning design could be said to achieve life-long contextual learning.
