Magnesiumoxychloride cement(MOC) or the Sorel cementwas first
introduced by Sorel in 1867 [1]. By adding reactive MgO powder into
MgCl2 solution with a proper proportion, the fast setting and hardening
MOC is produced with high compressive and tensile strength, high fire
resistance and abrasion resistance and low thermal conductivity. Due
to the aforementioned excellent performances, it iswidely applied in industrial
flooring, grinding wheels, lightweight insulation wall panel, interior
plaster and decorative panels, etc.
