In business meeting American people have their way to communicate. In the beginning they will start with a small talk, and then they will get straight to the business topic. Business meetings are often more effective among Americans due to their high IDV and UAI. They often get right to the point and able to convey their messages directly and clearly. Higher individualism of Americans results in more self-confidence and their ability to do things and think on their own. Thais have a significantly lower individualism, they tend to do things collectively and have lower self-confidence. In business meetings Thais will tend to speak less and will mostly speak about what others will agree on, they will find it very hard to raise conflicts and avoid uncertainty at all costs. Americans are able to speak their mind freely and make decisions that they think are right. Thais often think about how other will react to their decision and make decisions collectively goes accordingly with other peers.
