A universal mathematical model has been proposed to
characterize the charging profile of lithium titanate battery. The
methodology of battery modeling has been presented in detail.
The accuracy of the developed model has been proven with
experiment results. The model validation reveals that the
proposed model is able to capture the charging profiles for
different charging rates. It is expected that the model is
applicable for other types of battery, such as lead acid, nickelbased
battery and other types of lithium based batteries. Since
it can be easily applied in simulation platform, circuit designer
can wisely design the battery charger by using this universal
model without any complex computation.
