SLA Encyclopedia
You and your classmates will create an encyclopedia of Second Language Acquisition methods and theories. Hopefully this encyclopedia will become a helpful resource for you to study for the master’s comprehensive exam and the ESOL ORELA exam in the future.
Each encyclopedia entry should be about 2 paragraphs long. You will find a lot of the information you need in your textbooks and class articles, but you should also use at least one additional article from the professional literature. Make sure you use your own words. Cite your sources.
Two people will be assigned to work on each topic, and each person will be responsible for two topics. (Please see the chart below -- your name is listed twice). Please post your entries to the encyclopedia by Sunday, Nov. 14. Then, read what your partner has written and add any comments you feel are necessary by the following week (Sunday, Nov. 21).
When you open the encyclopedia on WikiSpaces, you will see a chart that represents the topics in our encyclopedia.
--Click on each of the links that you are responsible for (find your name below)
--When you are ready to post your entry, click on "edit."
--Add your text.
--When you finish typing, click "save" and your entry will be posted to our encyclopedia!
