During the learning activity, an inquiry designed
lab sheet was administered to each group, and an assistant teacher was available
in the classroom for supporting the student learning. After the simulation-based inquiry
lesson, the same test items were administered to the students again for exploring their
current conceptual understanding and also to investigate the change of conceptions
that happened after receiving the intervention. Moreover, the same test items were
administered to them two months after the post-test for examining their conceptual
retention
